Steven Kiel is the president and chief investment officer for Arquitos Capital Management, a firm he founded in 2009. He is the portfolio manager of Arquitos Capital, a private investment fund focused on special situation investing that has a U.S. onshore fund, Arquitos Capital Partners, LP, and a BVI offshore fund, Arquitos Capital Offshore, Ltd. Steven is also the co-portfolio manager of Arquitos Epicus, LP, a U.S.-based private investment fund that makes highly concentrated investments in unique asymmetric opportunities.

Steven serves on the board of directors of ENDI Corp. (ENDI:OTCQB), a holding company primarily focused on asset management. He previously served as the chairman to ENDI Corp’s predecessor company where at various times he served as the Chief Executive Officer, Chief Financial Officer, and General Counsel.

Steven founded Willow Oak Asset Management, a subsidiary of ENDI Corp. that provides marketing, operations, compliance, investor relations, and infrastructure support to private investment funds. He previously served as Willow Oak Asset Management’s president.

Steven served in the Army Reserves for 21 years, retiring with the rank of Major. He began his Army career as an enlisted combat support soldier, serving in Iraq in 2005 in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. He reached the rank of Staff Sergeant before being commissioned in 2007 in order to serve as a Judge Advocate. Steven primarily served as a Trial Defense Attorney until his retirement in 2021.

Steven began his career working for a prominent public policy organization in Washington, DC. After receiving his law degree, he was an attorney in private practice. Steven is a frequent podcast guest and commentator. He has been quoted in The Wall Street Journal, BusinessWeek, MarketWatch, Bloomberg, Forbes and other publications.

Steven is a graduate of George Mason School of Law and Illinois State University, where he was a student athlete. He is a member of the bar in Illinois (inactive) and Washington, DC.
